February 25, 2014I knew it was going to be a unique class from the moment I walked into Ayama Yoga and Wellness. The instructor and owner, Mano graciously welcomes each student at the beginning of class with a warm smile and a positive attitude. We each set up 2 mats crossing one another to allow for ample space to spread out into the variety of eccentric postures we were about to take on. Throughout the class, Mano guides and adjusts each student with care and caution allowing each student to receive the maximum benefit from each pose. Even with my tight hips, Mano was able to help me maneuver into positions I didn't think my body would allow me to do. I breathed deeply through each asana and felt a major release in every part of my body. I definitely heard my body crack a few times during class, and Mano even offered students to crack their backs during class. Mano also specializes in Thai massage and you can tell from his adjustments how well he understands the body. The studio itself is very spacious and the community seems to be very friendly. A group of students from class all went to dinner following the class and I could feel the camaraderie during the class. If you are looking for an out of the box yoga experience, I would definitely recommend trying Mano's class at Ayama Yoga and Wellness in Aventura off 163rd and Biscayne. It also doesn't hurt that Mano is easy on the eyes, if you know what I mean ; ) To get 10% off YOGiiZA, type in discount code yogiarielle at checkout. http://www.yogiiza.com/store/
