I've been thinking a lot lately about how a certain lifestyle can affect body and mind in such a profound way... It's funny, because I was always so careless about my eating habits; quality and quantity was the same for me. I never thought that it would be something I would have to change and modify for the rest of my life.
6 months ago I found out I had gastro paresis "lazy stomach" so eating healthy and maintaining a balanced diet, plus body movement (running and yoga) was my prescription.
Traveling to Souh East Asia is a looong trip, let me tell you! 3 days of traveling, eating plane foods at weird hours, losing sense of time and space, can really through one’s body and kind out of whack.
We got to Bangkok and it really took me a few days to adjust to this food. It seems like these people eat everything fried! It wasn't until we decided that it was time to stretch out our mats on the hotel floor to do our very first yoga class of the trip, that I felt that body cleanse I so desperately needed! It was then that I understood I had changed my lifestyle so profoundly that it now takes me time to adjust to a different place.
The body speaks to us, and I can see now how it is so important to stick to a healthy way of living.. Not only back home in the easy routine, but also anywhere you go... Thank goodness we can bring our yoga everywhere! So grateful and happy to be here sharing the happy healthy yoga high with my friends and people around the world.
