I always love a good Iyengar class. Javier Willensky of Om'echaye in Hallandale is the go-to guy for a great Iyengar experience. Om'echaye is fully equipped with ropes walls and Javier's classes begin with each student lining up at the wall, placing a rope at hip level, and extending into downward dog for about 10 minutes. Javier diligently checks each student's alignment and is careful to adjust every minute detail. Javier has a strong and dominant voice and does not let anything get past him. Javier specializes in back alignment and healing injuries and knows the structure of the body very well. It is a no bullshit type of class where you must be willing to work.
