[caption id="attachment_217" align="aligncenter" width="295" caption="Lord Shiva's Pose"][/caption] Standing on the left foot breath in and lift the right leg behind bending at the knee.  Continuing through the inhalation reach the right arm back and grasp the inside of the right ankle as you push the right foot into the hand finish the inhale lifting the left arm parallel to the floor.  Exhale and settle into the left foot, grounding by rotating the foot towards the center line.  Follow the rotation of the foot up the leg to the inward rotating thigh allowing the right hip to come square.  Keep the right thigh parallel to the floor and as you inhale lengthen through the spine, rising up.  Resist the temptation to lift the right thigh past parallel to the floor.  The hips should stay square and the torso should rise up instead of laying flat facing the floor. This is a beautiful pose.  Remember, Square hips and a rising spine.  Keep the shoulders down, away from the ears for a long neck. Namaste.........
