Preventing the 'fad' phase

Many times when I tell people about the concept of my blog, I get remarks about sustainable fashion being a temporary ‘fad’ in the fashion industry. That brands like H&M, Target, and other designers are only supporting this trend because it is marketable. This makes me upset, because like myself, these brands and designers supporting sustainable fashion are doing it because of their love and respect for the earth. The question is how do we convince the other people out there who believe that sustainable fashion, along with other things like global warming, are just temporary concerns that will eventually die down. In my eyes, if we continue to support and promote the sustainable fashion to the world, there would be no reason for it to die off. It would only grow bigger and bigger, eventually influencing more and more people to believe in it and support it. This isn’t a cult. It’s a lifestyle change we need to embrace.
